Amazing capture, indeed he didn't just happen along to get this, Well done.
I love my country
I agree with Carly, I love my country!
What an amazing shot. Stunning. Kudos to the photographer!
It really does look familiar doesn't it? I wonder which eagle is the Democrat and which is the Republican.
A country divided?
Beautiful!
No "political correctness" here. It's survival of the fitest! An amazing moment captured forever.
Interesting how this image brings out the patriots - when it was taken in Canada. What's up with that, eh?
My God, does EVERYTHING have to be turned into something "political" or patriotic? Can't people just ENJOY an amazing photograph?? Jeez! It's a stunning picture of wild animals in their natural environment. Enjoy it for what it is and stop trying to turn it into something it isn't!
wow some of us wait a lifetime hoping to get the chance to take a shot like this
Thank goodness they're in Canada. In 1940, the Bald Eagle Protection Act made it illegal to kill, harm, harass or possess bald eagles. If they did that here they'd face stiff penalties from the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
I would like to know what the red spikish looking thing is protruding from the lower eagles wing. Am I just seeing something wierd here or is the eagles wing breaking here in this photo?
My mom loves eagles I think she'd love this picture. I am trying to be a photography major and this is a great reason to be too.
I love photography and I would love to have a chance to get a picture like this one.
i live on the mississippi river in WI, just a couple years back you could only find a handfull this time of year. how im happy to say just yesterday i saw a couple dosen. if you have never seen one in real life your missing out.
WILL THIS IS AMERICA FOR YOU "UNITED WE STAND" YEAH RIGHT!!!! BUT GREAT SHOT :-)
Janet you rock! This picture has nothing to do with politics or countries. It is nature at it's finest!
I've seen too many Eagle pictures,if you can't think of any thing else shoot and Eagle.
thank you janet!
I've seen better. There is this one picture of an Eagle swooping dow and picking up a fox that was incredible. The picture was taken in Montana.
Let me reiterate that this photograph was taken on the Squamish River in Brackendale, NORTH! of Vancouver, British Columbia. This picture has nothing to do with America at all. How come everything comes back to America this, America that. God bless America, home of transfat, racism, hate, and and and... oh yes, we can't forget GENOCIDE, otherwise we would have no America for God to bless. Think about that for a moment!
What gets me about this picture is the determination in the eyes of the attacking eagle. So focused.
A tru vibrant image that depicts a strong American Symbol of Freedom, but yet it also represents the struggle that we have on our own soil with a seperated society.
I think Masmod is an angry Muslim. Call the FBI
This is nature at her finest. Photos like this invoke some interesting responses from people. Our responses are based from our experiences, personal prejudices, things we know of, things we do not know. Some see "America". Some see "Republicans v. Democrats" Some see survival of the fittest(what I see). Some imagine a champion in a great fight. Someone who has never seen an eagle might think, "hmm, that's a neat photo, what are they doing?" One could go on and on!
Great shot! And I agree with Janet. Masmod, it's a picture of our national symbol, it has EVERYTHING to do with America. But only if you're an American.
Aside from your politically motivated exhibits, you have shown me the best pictures in this whole collection. Thank you Robert!
Bald Eagles in Canada? That's an outrage!
LOL, the funny thing is that it was shot in Canada!
The globe I have shows Canada in North America....Oh it's made in China
Survival of the fittest....oh wait, that's what life is!!!
All I can think of is the Disney movie 'Finding Nemo' and the seagulls yelling, "Mine...,Mine...,Mine.."
"Let me reiterate that this photograph was taken on the Squamish River in Brackendale, NORTH! of Vancouver, British Columbia. This picture has nothing to do with America at all. How come everything comes back to America this, America that. God bless America, home of transfat, racism, hate, and and and... oh yes, we can't forget GENOCIDE, otherwise we would have no America for God to bless. Think about that for a moment! " Well, Masmod, the bald eagle happens to be a symbol of America and therefore brings about connotations of America for those that live here. There's nothing wrong with that. By the way, racism, hate, and the other things you listed can be found anywhere on Earth. Think about that for a moment.
All you people that posted "i love my county" you realize this was taken in canada?
You can see the victor as you look at her eyes!!!!
Sorry but all your political arguing... I see HOPE that an endangered speices might flurish once again
Well, at least some Americans are still proud to be Americans. There is hope after all.
It cracks me up when people think that because they live in the USA they automatically are an American! Let me ask you this, "are you south American, central American or north American? Which by the way north America does include Canada. I love the photo!
Who cares if it was taken in canada the symbol for the US is the Bald Eagle....so if im in italy does that mean im Italian....? No
All you "I love America" people think about this: We almost had a turkey for our national bird. It's a beautiful picture of nature in action.
lol you people amuse me to no end. Beautiful birds and beautiful capture. Some Americans need to take their heads out of their behinds.
BTW, Canada is in America - North America, just like Mexico! Our country is the United States *of* America. You could say, Canada is Canada *of* America too. The sad comment about this picture is that you have to go to Canada to get a picture like this.
Friendly Fire...3001
I heard something about Stephen Jr. being near the Canadian border. Thats Jr. on top. Guess he went up there to kick some canuck ass. Come home Jr. your dad is worried about you. That reminds me, it's time for the Cobert Report.
So, if this image were of 2 pigs, would we comment on China? It is, afterall, the year of the pig in China. Silly me, of course we wouldn't. Everything is USA, USA!!! Arrogance at its finest...
Man....we picked the right bird as our national symbol. I live in Florida and I have seen a bald eagle, recently, in the lake behind our house, and flying around the area. They are the most dramatic creatures. I'm glad they are starting to grow in numbers.
Yes Virginia, there are eagles in the U.S.! I too have seen a pair of eagles along the lower Mississippi River near Baton Rouge, Louisiana... imagine that! The picture? It's a beauty!
Nice Nicole, that is exactly what I was thinking. "Mine....Mine....Mine" - Seagulls on Finding Nemo. This should be the symbol of the US civil war.
Colli your comment is funny. Sad but true as politics and politicains go. As for the pic...Vancouver is a beautiful place and just so happens to be where I first saw one. I say now what thought then...those are some frickin' huge birds!!
Such pure ferocity and power, not to mention domination. This picture is stunning. No wonder it is our symbol. Makes me proud. Proud of my country, proud of my people and yes proud to be an American! BTW, IranianinAmerica. If you have such disdain for us why are you in our country? Is it bc you are free to voice your opinions, make a living for yourself through our economy and educate your children through our school systems? Arrogance you say? Hell yes we're arrogant. We've earned the right to be.
I'VE NEVER SEEN EAGLES TOGETHER BEFORE IN ONE PICTURE LET ALONE FIGHTING OVER FOOD! WOW, GREAT SHOT!!
I see two eagles arguing over which of them is actually on American currency.
ah, the symbol of America fighting over resources. what else is new?
Metaphor; Democrats and Republicans in Congress fighting over the immigrant salmon coming up stream.
Take that stingy!!. Next time you'll share. Are all Canadian Eagles mean?
