Actually, I am rooting for the scavengers, who are obviously in desperate need if they put themselves in such a precarious position in the hopes of catching a buck or two. Wouldn't this woman gain more blessings from helping her fellow humans than tossing money at an uncaring 'god' who has absolutely no need for money?

I agree with Market Mama wholeheartedly. Let's hope they got quite a few bucks and no injuries.
What exactly are you going to wish for while looking at these people? A big screen tv, new house, or a million dollars perhaps? How about wishing these people were better off. Then fulfill your own wish by throwing them some money. Throwing paper or coin into this natural settings is only going to litter it up. If you ask me, these people are performing a service by keeping it clean. Change the "wish making scheme" to work for both people. If a vagabond catches your offering, your wish will come true. It's silly either way so why not?
Regardless this is a great shot and god bless these people
They are not scared. They can not wait to come back as a Cow.
Shes not wishing, shes making an offering.
Planned new U.S. Social Security distribution center. Grab for it while or if you can!
I like that everyone is so colourful against the gray background. Cool pic.
either way, perhaps it is whomever gets it is the recipient intended to receive it by desire of the heart based on need and being in the right location at the right time...and the giver doing the giving to someone whom cannot be chosen to receive it and so just trusts that the deserving one of them all will be the one...offerings are given within churches all over the world, do we question tything or the way it is given and for what purpose..ie income tax deductions with receipts required? while i agree this is an extraordinary pic of the described; i see the crater as a big collection plate except that the ones who need it are right there which in effect means, at least you know who your tythe is going to ..and i dont see any one with an accounting book making note of a deduction for giving; i could on an on..but i'll stop there, (shut up MissD..ok, i will)
