Bush tees off with wounded veterans

Former President George Bush hosted the Warrior Open golf tournament this past Sunday in Irving, Tex. The competition for wounded veterans of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, gave Bush the opportunity to interact with soldiers. While Bush has had few public appearances since leaving office, showing his support of the U.S troops has been one of his priorities. In April, he hosted Warrior 100, a similar event where he biked 62 miles (100 kilometers) with injured servicemen.

From AP:

"I was a little concerned that our veterans don't think that I still respect them and care for them a lot," Bush told the AP. He added later, "There's nothing as courageous in my judgment as someone who had a leg blown off in combat overcoming the difficulties."

This picture makes me ill. The lying wastage W should be behind bars for sending us into a war of choice in Iraq, NOT necessity! Serious kudos to these fellow vets who understand that all of us went into service willingly because of our love for country and desire to serve and protect our nation from hostile threats both within and without our boarders. It's just a damn shame (understatement) we had a Commander-in-Thief who abused and used us! He wouldn't know or understand "courageous" if it was tattooed to his buttocks! I never would have guessed our most potent enemy was the guy sitting behind the desk in The Oval Office. I say this, again, as a fellow veteran of the Iraq War....

To comment #2, I will take your comment as the basic right we all serve to protect. Otherwise, why don't you man up and make a comment worthy of the freedom that thousands have died to give you/us? Your comment is immature and grade school variety. Have you some wisdom about Bush-league we don't know about? Perhaps you would enlighten us instead of merely name calling. Do you have evidence to the contrary on Bush's lies and manipulation of intelligence? Do tell. Otherwise, I was in the the thick of our so-called "war on terror." Whatever pinheads like you have to say makes no difference to me nor will I ever change my mind related to my experience in the military 2001-2005.
