Playing the laser harp

French composer, performer and music producer Jean Michel Jarre performs during his concert in Gdansk, Poland, Nov. 2010. The concert is part of the celebrations of Polish Independence Day.

I’ve enjoyed Jean Michel Jarre’s music for years. His shows are unbelievable spectacles of lights, lasers, fireworks and music. Watch the video to see how he plays the laser harp.

Ok, I admit, it's cool, but is he Light Synching?

I only say this because of the lack of up and down use of hands for tonality change. I listened to his music when in College years ago in the library, with headphones of course-yea, the ones they called Cans, not Earbuds-and was always amazed. He led me to Philip Glass, John Cage, and Andreas Vollenweider.

I like the reflection in his Laser Glasses.
