A proposed map of Juba in the shape of an rhino is presented, Wednesday, Aug 18, 2010, in Juba, Southern Sudan. Southern Sudan has unveiled ambitious plans to remake its capital cities in the shapes found on their state flags, and an official says the government is talking with investors to raise the $10 billion the fanciful communities would cost.

Rhino City?

I'm all for urban planning, but this plan by the leaders of Southern Sudan to build a Rhino-shaped city is laughable, to put it mildly. And I thought American politicans were tone deaf.

Right on Rich, you got that right!

Here in SB, our past illustrious Mayor thought it would be a good idea to paint a 1,000 foot, Blue Line across the city to show where the water line would be if Greenland were to melt. This $12,000 Blue Line would last only about 2-3 years, and would be long gone before the 100 to 1,000 year collapse of Greenland's Ice shelf.

We'll see what comes the day after tomarrow.

Because Sudan doesn't have any other need for $10B. And the only persons that will notice the shape of the cities would be those in planes.
And who'd want to live on the anus of these animals? Crass, I know, but a thought.
